HISTORY
The Western Morning News Cup was presented to the Devon County Ladies' Golf Association (DCLGA) by the Western Morning Newspaper in 1936
In 1972 the Autumn Meeting was divided into the South & West Division and the North & East Division
It is a team competition - the best 2 Foursomes Stableford scores from 3 nominated pairs wins the trophy for their club
The winners of each section held the WMN Cup for 6 months
In 1984 the Western Morning News Rose Bowl was presented to the winner of the South & West Division and the Western Morning News Cup continues to be presented to the winner of the North & East Division
